Jayde Kim has lived in the United States, Hong Kong, and South Korea, developing an appreciation for diversity in culture. With a love for figure drawing, the subject of the individual is central to her art. Fostered by questions of identity, where the search for such pervades modern life, she explores the relationship between body and person. In her art practice, she seeks to experiment with a variety of methods to further an understanding of material and medium. Her works show visuals and text as complementary processes to evoke some idea reminiscent of conceptual art. She continues to cultivate her passions for visual arts and humanities through her art and writing.
